If you are new to list building, I want to do my absolute best to make sure you position yourself as an enlightened online marketer and list builder from the beginning.

As well, if you have tried list building and are finding the methods you are using just aren’t working, I owe it to you to take this a step further in helping you to fully reconcile yourself with the need for change in your Modis-Operandi.

If you haven’t done the work necessary to accomplish putting your own “Multi- Channel Web Activity System” together for your prospects you will continue to frustrated with your lack of success. It may seem like putting up a web site, a blog, and maintaining some social sites is too much work. (It really isn’t and I will get into how you can do it without the kind of effort you may be imagining it will take now.)

Let’s try to look at this from your new prospect/site-visitor’s perspective by assuming you are the prospect. I am assuming here that you consider yourself Internet Savvy. By that I mean you have been, “Down The Garden Path”, long enough to know there are people out there on the Internet that are unknowingly or purposely trying to dupe you into giving up something very precious to you, your real contact information, or YOUR MONEY in exchange for useless crap wrapped in good sounding sales copy with bonuses that are, “Valued(?)”, at 5 times the actual product/freebie itself.

Admit It, You’re Gun Shy Too – You have been to Squeeze Page after Squeeze Page, looking for a solution to a particular problem you have and have not found one that either doesn’t sound too good to be true or in some way doesn’t meet your criteria you have established for what you consider worth looking into.

You find something that looks promising and . . . .

You read the content and are intrigued. But hey, you don’t even know this “No Options Ned” person; recognize their name or anything about them or their product. You’ve never heard of them in the circles you travel when frequenting places on line where people of like mind, (A niche), meet and discuss niche subjects.

Roaming around in the back of your mind are thoughts of the small flood of email you are still getting every day from signing up for, “Just Gotta Have It”, solutions to one of your problems or needs and you fail to opt out because some of what you receive from each and every one of the news letters, email training series, step by step how to’s etc. occasionally have some noteworthy content in them.

But ALL of them have offers of some kind wanting you to spend your hard earned MONEY! And then there are all the latest greatest new information products or software products that most of the people you are receiving opt-in email from, all appear to be affiliate marketers for. (Gee, think there might be a little collusion going on here?)

Now I’m not saying there aren’t any good offers out there. But when every single email you receive has a link to something that will cost you $47 or more, (Many times much more), and it’s the same old format with the “It’s Your Lucky Day” type pitch, link to the deal, more pitch, same link, even more pitch and same link again, you have to be getting pretty callused, or hardened to opening most of the emails from subscriptions you opted to receive.

Eventually you stop clicking on the links in the emails regardless of what they promise. Partially because you have heard the same promises before, purchased what the product promises to provide as a solution, just to find out it’s more generalized crap you can find yourself in about 10 minutes on line.

You’re starting to feel pretty guarded about giving out your primary e-mail address period. You stop opening the emails from the one’s that really hammer you with nothing but offers. You’re feeling pretty gun shy after having put yourself in the sites of these intimidating, overkill marketers.

But then you again find there is a problem you need a solution for and you’re on the hunt online. You’ve finally found what you at first think may provide you with a solution to your problem.

This marketer is only giving you one chance, (Supposedly), and one option to gain access to the information you think might be a solution to your problem. They want your private contact information. The red flags go up. See if you think this might be your reaction and resulting action:

Well I really don’t know this guy. I’ll see if I can find some reviews of his product and ask around in some of the forums and see if anybody knows him or his goods. CLICK – your back to the search engine. (Bounce Rate Ouchee.)
