Mexico the country of Salsa, Tortillas and Corruption;
I first arrived in Mexico City in February 2002 as an instructor for the WFB – the World Federation of Bodyguards. A Mexican security service had contracted Anders Sorenson, the Norwegian WFB instructor and I, to set-up a training program for BG’s in Mexico.
I came through customs and the weapons search, shaking my head at the Mexican officials who only spoke Spanish, making my visa interview a complete waste of time.
That was one of my first lessons about Mexico; almost all Mexicans dream of going to the US to live however, the vast majority speaks nothing but Mexican Spanish. This lack of English knowledge goes all the way from the basic uneducated labour worker to the university-educated attorney at law!
The Assassination:
On my second day in Mexico, I witnessed a Mexican Assassination complete with a “Hollywood-Movie” car chase. Sitting in our chauffeur driven vehicle, I was enjoying the sights in the city of Morelia, Michoacan, when I suddenly heard the well-known sounds of automatic rifle fire. A few seconds later a Bronco jeep, riddled with bullet holes sped past us. The jeep rammed into a vehicle right in front of us and stopped momentarily. The front seat passenger was hanging half out of the shattered side window, half his head gone with brain mass showing, in the rear a woman slumped covered in blood. Then the driver regained his senses and sped off down the street ramming other cars as he fled.
The sounds of automatic fire bursts came again but much louder and nearer. Seconds later a black jeep sped by, with two shooters hanging out the windows firing automatic bursts from AR-15’s. By now, from the rear seat, I was yelling at our chauffeur to give chase and try to ram the second vehicle; however, the chauffeur were paralyzed with shock and did not react, until Anders slapped him back to reality.
When we finally gave chase we just glimpsed the assassins jeep, take a right turn at an intersection 30 metres away. Our chauffeur was whining about it being to dangerous to get close to the assassins, however he managed to give a speedy chase. As we turned right at the intersection we witnessed 10-15 heavily, armed Police officers surround the assassins jeep.
The driver of the Bronco jeep were slumped dead over the steering wheel, he had done all he could to evade the attack site and escape the assassins. Realizing the assassins would not relent, the driver had driven with the horn flaring into the no-parking zone, surrounding the heavily guarded high-security police detention centre, where he knew help were immediately at hand.
The assassination turned out to be a drug cartel hit, the dead man in the front were a cartel leader, the woman in the rear was his wife and the driver was his personal bodyguard. The three assassins were arrested and charged with three counts of murder; they all pled guilty and subsequently each received a 12-year prison sentence, with parole after 8 years.
My real surprise about the assassination was the fact that the assassins continued their attack after the target had evaded the attack-site.
This contradicts all “normal” modus operandi for professional assassins, as giving chase across town exposes the whole assassin team to witnesses and law enforcement. Months earlier, I would have argued that this type of “spray and pray” car chase could only happen in a Hollywood movie.
When I discussed this matter with the CEO of the local TV-Azteca, he told me the reason for the continued attack, was that the assassins had more fear of botching the hit, than being arrested by the police. They knew that their Cartel leader would not accept failure and that he would reward their loyalty and commitment. They received the best legal defence money could buy, bribes to the attorney and judges, grease to the prison guards etc. Eight years in prison was simply not such a bad deal for the assassins! This is a similar situation to what is happening in Russia, where standard CP preventive methods, just will not protect your ass either.
The assassination proved to be a blessing in disguise, at least to Anders and I, who suddenly were the two most “wanted” persons in Morelia city. We had requests and questions about training, coming in from police VIP protection teams and security managers for the filthy rich. The WFB could not have arrived in town on a better day.
Being the flavor of the month:
Everyone in protection and his dog wanted to see what we had to offer in the training field. Everyone was very interested but also very sceptical about our training, the Mexicans are wary off gringos with the solutions to all their problems. Very candidly, they told us that they had “enough” experience with no-good American (US) templates for everything. Our schedule was quickly filled with meetings followed by training contracts.
In the next months we provided training seminars and courses to corporate VIP protection units and various police departments in the states of Michoacan and San Luis Potosi. The Police departments we provided training to included state SWAT teams and Ministerial Hostage Rescue Teams. These courses were hosted by the State Police Academies and we even held a seminar for the Army during Army Day.
Kidnapping Industry:
Mexico has more than its fair share of drug related crime, robberies, kidnaps and assassinations. In 2002 Mexico became the number 1 country for kidnappings, taking the lead over even Columbia, a position Mexico held until toppled by China in 2004. There are currently about 4000 kidnappings a year in Mexico. A report published in 2002 by the Mexican Ministry of Justice, found that former or serving Police Officers were involved in the planning or cover up of 80% of all kidnappings.
Training the Police:
One of the interesting facts about Mexico is the enormous amount of Police Officers pr capita. Even in a medium size state such as SLP there are more than 3000 State Police Officers. Add that on top of a heavy presence of City, Federal and Ministerial Police Officers. For a “European” the shear amount of Police Officers and independent departments are staggering and the jurisdictions are often over lapping and confusing. There are almost zero communication between the different departments and Petty rivalries are commonplace, between departments of the State Police and the Federal and Ministerial Police.
During a course for the Ministerial Police HRT, we had to stop early because the course was held at the State Police Academy, which were shared by State and the Ministerial Police. However the State Academy chief were annoyed with the Ministerial Police and decided suddenly that they could not use the firing range as it was officially under supervision of the State Police etc.
This is one thing foreigners need to bear in mind in Mexico, politics are part of everything and corruption is not a dirty word. Every “chief” were looking for “what’s in it for me” and if you could provide him with something he wanted, there were ends to what you could do. Firearms are a very delicate matter in Mexico, only the Police and Army has the right to bear arms. Bodyguards are not officially allowed to bear arms, but if you know the right “chiefs” the law means nothing.
However that does not prevent other Police departments from having a say about you carrying arms. During our third course in Mexico, we were training a Corporate VIP Protection unit of the Industrial Police. The Industrial Police were simply a “name” for a unit sponsored by the wealthy in a certain state; they would hire their Bodyguards and then have them “hired” on paper by the Industrial Police. This way the Corporate VIP protection units could legally carry arms. The Bodyguards would thus receive a salary from the Industrial Police and a substantial cash bonus by the corporation they were working for.
Weapons or rather a lack of weapons:
Another interesting problem in Mexico is the acquirement of weapons as the only “body” who have the legal right to import arms and ammunition is the Army. Even the Police Departments have to purchase or lease their weapons and ammunition through the Army. This unfortunately means that the prizes for legal weapons and ammunition are absolutely outrageous. The Army uses its monopoly to fund its own weapons and ammunition purchases and needs, thus the Army have “free” weapons and ammunition due to the tax they levy on the Police.
One result of this is that you can now see Soldiers brandishing new MP-5s used for guard duty, while the local Police SWAT team are still relying on UZIs and Beretta M-12s. It also results in an outrageously low amount of ammunition allowed for training Police Officers in the use of firearms. The majority of Police Officers fire less than 20 bullets a year and in one state, I witnessed the weapons training and the following weapons certification of Police Cadets, after having fired only 12 bullets from a revolver! More than two thirds of the Cadets did not hit their target with more than 2 bullets out of 12, from a 10 meter distance! After this I was “scared” when around armed Police Cadets, I jokingly told the local Chief of Police, to please not attempt to rescue me should I be kidnapped.
Among the interesting aspects of Mexican “Bodyguarding” we found that the vast majority preferred to stick their gun in the back of the pants, gangster style. And avidly claimed that this was the safest and easiest method of carrying a handgun, however during training courses the guns would be dropping all over the place. The main reason for this is that the Bodyguards are not assigned a firearm, but usually pass it between when changing shifts, thus they are to “cheap” to buy their own holster. We made it “clear” that this was unacceptable and students only made the mistake of “tugging” their gun in once!
Bodyguarding the Mexican style:
Another interesting aspect of Mexican “Bodyguarding” is the fact that many VIPs prefer (demands) to drive their own vehicle, thus the Bodyguards are merely following in a back up vehicle. There were daily stories of smart ass VIPs (usually the sons of the wealthy) simply out-driving the Bodyguards, the sons were of course driving Ferrari’s or other sport cars. One Fortune 500 VIP we trained for preferred to drive himself around in a two seat Mercedes Cabriolet, which of course made protecting him hell for the BGs.
Those readers who have access to the first issue of Protection News, can see a picture of the WFB adapting its Embus and Debus training to accommodate the VIP driving his own car. We also found that most wealthy VIPs had a huge luxury bus, which they used for cross state travelling inside Mexico. Due to this we had to improvise and adapt Embus and Debus drills to accommodate this and teach linear assault on busses, during the Counter Assault Team training.
A True Life Experience:
Mexico was a breath of fresh air to me as a European CPO, everything were different from working in Europe and the threat level were far higher and by experience we learned that the BGs can not rely of the Police. The vast majority of BGs and Police Officers I met and trained with (several hundreds) were all highly motivated and good guys, who really wanted to learn. They were all sick with the way things were in Mexico and especially the corruption, but there were little they could do about it. Mexico is truly a land of opportunity for the European BG training provider, as long as you accept the rules of business; “corruption” and status quo. If you want to earn money in Mexico, simply go there on vacation and drop in for a visit, by the VIP security managers and local Police Chiefs and soon you will find yourself immersed in the Mexican BG business.
One night when I was having a drink with a local Police Chief, I complained about the obvious drug trafficking. The chief looked at me and said; when I started this job I got a mail package, within it were two packages, one contained $10.000 the other a bullet! When I asked what he did about it, he quietly said; well I am still here

Religion as a tool of commerce and the elite is well established in the oppressive doctrine called Manifest Destiny as well as the more recent Rerum Novarum. It makes me chuckle to see the complaint of Roger Williams who founded Rhode Island to get ‘away from’ the kind of thing the Indians suffered under – far, far and indeed the farthest imaginable ‘away from’ from is what we all should strive to allow. It raises mercantile progress above all else and the Yanomami in Brazil are being genocidally dealt with under this doctrine to this very day. Here is a little from a book titled Manifest Destiny and the words of Roger Williams to see if you can find humor in the situation.

I will stifle my disgust at the way power-mongers indulge ego and immoral duplicity in their constant need to dominate.

The behind the scenes brokers of power like Pierre Dupont de Nemours and Eli Lilly or the Rothschilds and Rockefellers of the Merovingians are seen as supporters of much of the alternative history and humanistic efforts made in various times or eras of our history. Dupont arranged the Armistice to satisfy his relative King George who some say financed the US War of Independence and needed to get his debt repaid. My brother Russ tells me the Queen’s Rangers who became the Queen’s York Rangers he was part of in Toronto. They felt they could have beaten Washington’s army who they outnumbered even without British troops. Then we saw the Duponts start the armaments industry in America and the rest, as they say, is history. This is what Manifest Destiny is really all about and it has little to do with the theological ideology of Divine Providence and the ascending nature of man’s evolution. You might know Sam Houston retired to live with the Cherokee after his stint in the halls of political intrigue. Here are some things you might feel deserve consideration.
“Texas hero and governor Sam Houston reportedly was a member of the Knights {In my travels the only overt and openly seen storefront KKK operation I saw was in Houston’s suburb when I called on the manager of Mickey Gilley’s bar.} at the time but resigned when the Knights turned their attention from the invasion of Mexico to the secessionist movement.
It was in the cause of Southern secession that Bickley proved more successful, as the KGC came to form the nucleus of the Southern military. According to writer Ollinger Crenshaw, ‘The Southern press received plans of the order with enthusiasm and many newspapers became its exponents… The Vicksburg ‘Sun’ said the Knights of the Golden Circle gave the South a military organization capable of defending her rights at home and abroad.’
The KGC was divided into three sections or ‘degrees’–the ‘Foreign and Home Guard Militia’, the ‘Foreign and Home Guard Corps’, of civilian support, and the ‘American Legion’ which was the political and governing arm. Reportedly, by 1860 membership in the KGC was more than sixty-five thousand and constituted the ‘brains’ of the South. Bickley made their objective clear when he declared, ‘The fact is, we want a fight, but how to get it is the question.’
Through constant agitation, the Knights stirred up hatreds and fears throughout the North and South. ‘After Abraham Lincoln was, elected in 1860, this minority of the Southern minority conspired to bring off a last gamble. In 1861, to the extremists’ amazement, disunion triumphed,’ wrote historian William W. Freehling.
KGC activity in Northern states involved a plan to create a “Northwest Confederacy” composed of pro-Southerners in several states, including Ohio, Indiana, Minnesota, and Michigan. Illinois alone was reported to have a KGC membership of some twenty thousand. The plan was to seize federal arsenals, then take control of the states and release all Confederate prisoners. One state official, Edmund Wright, tried to oppose the Knights, only to have his wife poisoned and his home burned. In August 1862 sixty KGC members–out of a reported fifteen thousand members in Indiana–were indicted for conspiracy and treason but later released. Federal prosecutors were fearful of creating martyrs and the conspiracy cases were weak.
The Knight’s actions created havoc with the national government, prompting President Lincoln to lament, ‘The enemy behind us is more dangerous to the country than the enemy before us.’
The Lincoln administration was compelled to imprison more than thirteen thousand people on charges of ‘disloyalty’, which meant anything from speaking against the government to discouraging military enlistment. ‘Those who before the war had been called ‘the loyal opposition’ found themselves after 1861 commonly referred to as traitors,’ wrote author Larry Starkey.
Such repression incensed Democrats and anti-Republicans, who charged federal officials with exaggerating the KGC threat in order to suppress criticism of the administration. Membership in the Knights’ organization and its spin-offs, the Order of American Knights and the Sons of Liberty, grew to number in the hundreds of thousands. According to Griffin, the Knights went underground after the war, ‘eventually emerging as the Ku Klux Klan. {In Birth of a Nation, the movie shows over 20,000 white-hooded Knights going up Pennsylvania Ave. to meet their Grand Wizard, the former Head of Princeton and later architect of the failed League of Nations, President Woodrow Wilson.)
In 1863 Bickley was arrested as a spy in Indiana and held without trial until his release in 1865.”(5)
Did the Melungeons (perhaps Lincoln was one) and other white people who fled Europe during Dark Ages repression find Cincinnati and the earlier white settlers of Adena to their welcome liking? The Bat Creek, Tennessee area from which we have nine skeletons who Cyrus Gordon of New York University says were fleeing Roman Lions are good evidence of that. He demonstrates the academics who thought the language or script on the stone found with them were wrong. They thought it was Cherokee but he showed it was Semitic many years later. There is a plethora of evidence showing people coming to the America’s in every post-Christian century. It was going on for at least 4,000 years before that by boat. The European people spread out of the Caucasus to all parts of the world 30,000+ years ago according to genetic proof provided in my other books is now joined by ‘Y’ chromosome research. When Napoleon gave the Louisiana Purchase to America he imposed certain legal requirements establishing further separations between church and state that the ‘Birdman of Alcatraz’ took advantage of as shown when he married in prison.
It would not surprise us if the Holy Roman Empire was always managed by the Merovingians of Charlemagne and Childeric right up to the Priory of Sion that founded the Templars through the likes of Godfroi de Bouillon and Pierre Plantard de Saint-Clair who are descendants of Charlemagne. The De Medicis role we implied was a part of the whole affair is a very minor light in this darkness. The Borgia ethic has its Hapsburg and Rothschild m้lange. The phenomena of “sheepleism” continually amazes the proctors of behavioral science, and continually delights the magnums of the power elite who are always willing to ‘appeal to their base instincts’ as Machiavelli advised them to do. No lesser a student of politics than Otto von Bismarck has noted the following that impacts the whole world to this day.

Obi Wan Kanobi used conversational hypnosis when he convinced an enemy guard that the fugitives before him were actually not the characters he was looking for. It would be interesting, to say the least, to have that type of power over people.
Of course, engaging in conversational hypnosis normally is much more involved than it sounds. It’s a set of strategies, well-choreographed, that serve to bring others to your viewpoint.
The basics of this type of hypnosis were conceived first by the psychotherapist and hypnotist Milton Erickson. He believed that being in a state of trance was not an unusual occurrence, but rather a phase that people could slide into all the time, for instance when they are concentrating on a problem.
Erickson theorized that if you try to directly induce a state of trance, or to give someone your suggestions, this might lead into the other person resisting you. Instead, he used confusion, indirect-suggestions and rapport to induce states of trance and influence people to comply with his wishes.
Rapport is the beginning step toward conversational hypnosis. You do this by agreeing with the subject. Whatever he says, you simply agree with him, and state that he is right.
Confusion is the next step you would use in bringing a person to the point of accepting a trance state. You can sometimes confuse the person with simple questions like “Even if there’s no way out, like we agreed, how could you be positive a solution won’t pop into your brain?” This confuses them.
Another confusion technique is to in fact encourage resistance. You could say, “Nope, no one would ever be able to solve that predicament. It is just too complex. There is no way to get out, no chance.” At a point in time, your subject may start arguing that the problem is not unsolvable.
The last thing you will do in this process is to bring up a suggestion indirectly. You might say “Aren’t you feeling a bit more hopeful now?” or “I’m not sure why, but you seem more sure of yourself now than you did before”.
Hypnosis is not easy to do, and should be left to experts. When one of them gives you a suggestion, it travels through your mind and directly to your subconscious.
When conversational hypnosis is used effectively, you will lead the subject into a focus of attention that is much narrower than usual. But you won’t likely be able to persuade the person to do anything against what their morals are, For instance, if you hypnotize a person and tell them to kill someone, and they are morally a good person, they will “snap out of” the trance, rather than carry out your “orders”.
In short, this type of hypnosis can be effective, but don’t attempt to use it for ideas that seem too far from reality.

The group is actively recruiting members to help ranchers on the Arizona / Mexico border cope with the damage to their property caused by thousands of criminal trespassers.
Thousands of undocumented aliens pass through the Douglas, Arizona area every month, from across the border with nearby Mexico. The ranch owners in the area report hundreds of thousands of dollars in property damage from the resulting criminal trespass on their private property. Trespassers cut fence lines, damage water irrigation systems, steal and slaughter livestock,
break into the ranchers’ homes and nearby businesses, and assault the ranchers.
Ranch Rescue will repair the downed fences, fix the broken irrigation systems, round up scattered livestock, and assist the Cochise County local ranch owners in protecting their private property against a vast number of criminal trespassers, some of whom are heavily armed drug smugglers. Ranchers and local law enforcement in the area have been overwhelmed by the sheer number of trespassers, and federal immigration law enforcement in the area has been unable to prevent the number of illegal border crossers from increasing dramatically over the past year.
The US Border Patrol reports a 350 percent increase in the apprehension of illegal border crossers in Arizona from 1994 to 1999. The number of apprehensions in Douglas nearly doubled between April 1999 and April 2000. Local ranchers say that the number actually caught is only a fraction of the number that make it far enough into southeastern Arizona to damage the ranchers’ private property.
The Texas-based grassroots group will travel this fall to the Douglas, Arizona area to offer their assistance during what the ranchers report to be the annual peak of criminal trespass activity. Ranch Rescue will join the ranchers in a “Neighborhood Watch” over the ranch properties to guard them against illegal activity and will assist the property owners in lawful
apprehension of criminal trespassers. Trespassers so apprehended will be lawfully detained for immediate turnover to law enforcement.

As little as 300 years ago I would have been burned at the stake or tortured to death by some bigoted inquisition for asking such a question – is Jesus Christ an impostor? Today in the 21st century I could still be victimised and abused and in some fundamentalist States be ostracised. But the stark truth remains that we have very little evidence for the man that millions of Christian’s around the globe worship. Surely, if, like Robin Hood and King Arthur, the character of Jesus was built upon that of a real man, then we would be able to find him in history? Well, we may very well have had him before our eyes the whole time!
Apollonius of Tyana was born in the 3rd or 4th Year BC in Tyana in Cappadocia, at 16 became a disciple of Pythagoras, renouncing flesh, wine and women. He wore no shoes and let his hair and beard grow long.
He soon became a reformer and stayed in the Temple of Aesculapius. As we were to discover in The Serpent Grail, this great Greek deity of healing was himself closely linked to what we would come to know as the serpent cult.
Apollonius was thought to have been one of the wisest of all men. This in itself gave us a clue, for Sophia or wisdom derived from the root Ophia or serpent and S’Ophia meant simply, shining serpent. You see, we discovered that Apollonius in all likelihood gained his immense wisdom whilst at the feet of the wise serpentine Naga sages of the Indian sub-continent.
We can see evidence of this from Philostratos [1], the biographer of Apollonius, who tells us of the journey to Kashmir to meet the Naga sage Larchus and of the “emerald valley set in a rim of pearls” and of the tales that Apollonius told his travelling companion, Damus, of dragons which lived in the hills. Both emerald and pearls have symbolic resonance with wisdom and knowledge and the dragons, which lived in the hills, were nothing more than the Naga, or serpent followers of the region.
Let’s just take the time to look a little deeper into these Naga or Naaga:-
Naga is a Sanskrit term meaning literally Serpent (especially cobra), but interestingly it also holds the meanings – a tree; a mountain; the sun; the number seven; wisdom and initiate – all symbols and emblems we became familiar with in our search for those who worshipped of the serpent. The Naga were and indeed are said to reside in Patala, an underwater kingdom much like Atlantis, however this has a meaning similar to antipodes, the same name given by the ancients to the America’s.
Naga is a similar term to the Mexican Nagals, the medicine (healers) and sorcerers who always kept a god in the shape of a serpent. In Burma they are Nats or serpent gods. Esoterically Naga is a term for wise men. There is a folk tradition that Nagas washed Gautama (Buddha) at his birth – the wise men visiting the deity on Earth. They are also said to have guarded him and the relics of his body after his death.
According to H. P. Blavatsky in Theosophical Glossary, the Naga were descended from Rishi Kasyapa who had twelve wives (therefore he is the sun), by whom he had numerous Nagas (serpents) and was the father of all animals. Rishi Kasyapa can therefore be none other than a progenitor of the Green Man, and this partly explains the reasons for the appearance of the snake in images of the Green Man and Horned God, such as upon the Gundestrup Cauldron.
The Naga of Kashmir instructed Apollonius of Tyana. This is the same Kashmir where the serpent tribes became famous for their healing skills. There is a theory that the Nagas descended from the Scythic race (who brought many of the Arthurian legends to the British Isles) and when the Brahmins invaded India they found a race of wise men, half gods, half demons (snakes). These men were said to be teachers of other nations and themselves instructed the Hindu’s and Brahmans – no wonder that Apollonius visited them.
‘Then come the Naaga, the Siren serpents, whose worship has been so important a factor in the folklore, superstition, and poetry of India from the earliest times down to-day. Cobras in their ordinary shape, they lived, like mermen and mermaids, more beneath the water, in a great luxury and wealth, more especially of germ, and sometimes, as we shall see, the name is used of the Dryads, the tree-spirits, equally wealthy and powerful. They could at will and often did, adopt the human form and though terrible if angered, were kindly and mild by nature. Not mentioned either in the Veda or in the pre-Buddhist Upanishads, the myth seems to be a strange jumble of beliefs, not altogether pleasant, about a strangely gifted race of actual men; combined with notions derived from previously existing theories of tree worship, and serpent worship, and river worship. But the history of the idea has still to be written. The Naagas are represented on the ancient bas-reliefs as men or women either with cobra’s hoods rising behind their heads or with serpentine forms from their waist downwards.’ Rhys Davies, Buddhist India, p.223.
These tree deities were Nagas anyway as Rhys Davies continues on page 223 ‘The tree-deities were called Naagas, and were able at will, like the Naagas, to assume the human form and in one story the spirit of a Nunyan tree who reduced the merchants to ashes is called a Naaga-raja, the tree itself is a dwelling place of Naaga. It seems that they also left behind myths of healing as a story in the Journal of the Bombay Branch of the Asiatic Society demonstrates. When there was an epidemic among the children, it seems the only answer was to bring them to a snake skin which was hung on a pole and allow them to touch it – reminding us of the idea of the Brazen Serpent of Moses, which was upon a pole and for the healing of the “children” of Israel. This may explain why it is that the tree-gods are not specially and separately mentioned in the Maha Samaya list of deities who are there said by the poet to have come to pay reverence to the Buddha.’
The history of the Nagas that we do have, textually beginning around the 7th century BC is an amazing history of ups and downs. It parallels the rise and fall of the serpent worshipped by the Semites, with the Brazen Serpent being raised in the wilderness and then broken up in the temple.
The hill where these wise men lived [2] was defended on all sides by immense piles of rocks. As soon as the travellers had dismounted a messenger from one of the Masters appeared, wearing of all things, a serpent Caduceus on his brow – an obvious allusion to the enlightenment process via the Indian Kundalini, or coiled serpent.
Platitudes were given and when in conversation Apollonius learned from one called Larchus, that these Nagas had delivered their wisdom to the Egyptians and even Ethiopia, which as Hivviah or Cush, named after the worship of serpents. In truth it seems that the wisdom of the serpent brothers spread far and wide.
Eventually Apollonius became a wise sage himself and his own notoriety grew. Aurelian vowed to erect Temples and statues to his honour “for was there ever any thing among men more holy, venerable, noble, and divine than Apollonius? He restored life to the dead; he did and spoke many things beyond human reach.” (Vopiscus in Aurelian, cap. 24)
Truly, Temples and statues were erected to Apollonius in many places, including his own town of Tyana. Unlike Jesus, there is evidence to prove that Apollonius actually existed. As Moncure D. Conway said in his book Modern Thought:
“The world has been for a long time engaged in writing lives of Jesus.”
The library of such writing has grown since then. But when we come to examine them, one startling fact confronts us: all these books relate to a personage concerning whom there does not exist a single scrap of contemporary information – not one! Nobody can say with any conviction that Jesus was a real person.
On the other hand Jesus may indeed be based upon Apollonius, which sheds an entirely new light on the matter. By accepted tradition, Apollonius was born in the reign of Augustus, the great literary age of the nation of which he was a subject and the same age as the literary Jesus. In the Augustan age historians flourished; poets, orators, critics and travellers abounded. Yet not one of them mentions the name of Jesus Christ, much less any incident of his life. The Emperor Marcus Aurelius admitted that it was to Apollonius that he owed his own philosophy, and erected Temples and statues in his honour. No statues or Temples were erected to Jesus.
Faust said, “Everyone knows that the Evangeliums were written neither by Jesus nor by his apostle, but long after their time by some unknown persons, who, judging well that they would hardly be believed when telling of things they had not seen themselves, headed their narratives with the names of the apostles or disciples contemporaneous with the latter.”
On the other hand, the written record of the life of Apollonius is very sound and Philostratos who wrote the Life of Apollonius was the close friend of Damus who had related the whole thing in person.
Philostratos said, “Some consider him as one of the Magi, because he conversed with the Magi of Babylon and the Brahmans of India and the Gymnosophists of Egypt. But even his wisdom is reviled, as being acquired by the magic art, so erroneous are the opinions formed of him. Whereas Empedocles and Pythagoras and Democritus, though they conversed with the same Magi, and advanced many paradoxical sentiments, have not fallen under the like imputation. Even Plato, who travelled in Egypt, and blended with his doctrines many opinions collected there from the priests and prophets, incurred not such a suspicion, though above all men on account of his superior wisdom.”
The very fact that Apollonius was in danger of usurping the “idea” of Christ with his own “factual” life caused much consternation amongst the early Christians. Justin Martyr, one of the Church Fathers of the 2nd century said, “How is it that the talismans by Apollonius have power over certain members of creation, for they prevent, as we have seen, the fury of the waves, the violence of the winds, and the attacks of wild beasts. And whilst Our Lord’s miracles are preserved by tradition alone, those of Apollonius are most numerous, and actually manifested in present facts, so as to lead astray all beholders?”
The book by Philostratos was therefore, and not surprisingly, kept back from translation and distribution. In fact, the books of the New Testament did not appear until at least one hundred years after the Life of Apollonius.
Even the birth of Apollonius bears some remarkable similarities to the fictional life of Christ. Whilst his mother was pregnant with Apollonius, Proteus, the Egyptian God, appeared to her and said, “Thou shalt bring forth me!” The mother of Apollonius was to bring forth God.
Incidentally, Proteus was known to take the form of a snake.
According to Phillimore, Apollonius actually founded a church and a community, made up of his disciples. It is highly likely that these were connected to a branch of the Essene, known as the Therapeuts and Nazarenes and who we also know were closely linked to the Indian Brahmins and the Nagas.
Indeed there was a group known as the Apolloniei – the adherents of Apollonius – who actually survived some centuries after his death. These constituted what became the Christian Church, after the Council of Nicaea – so Apollonius did indeed begin Christianity, based upon serpentine myths and traditions of the oldest order.
In fact Eunapius stated that Philostratos should have called his book “The Sojourning of a God Among Men.” However once the decision had been made to plump for the newly created Christ, cobbled together from various deities, Apollonius was repressed. It is basically because of books like the one of Philostratos that the ancient libraries at places such as Alexandria were torched. Destroy the evidence of the opposition and there appears to be no opposition. But they missed one vital piece of evidence in their own book.
In 1st Corinthians 3:3-6 it says, “for while one saith, I am of Apollos, are ye not carnal? Who, then, is Paul, and whom Apollos, but ministers, by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.”
I could so easily have overlooked this had it not been for a chance discovery of an ancient version of 1st Corinthians found in a French monastery by a Huguenot soldier entitled the Codex Bezae. The name Apollos is spelt Apollonius! In fact in the Encyclopaedia Britannica the name Apollo in this context can also mean Apollonius. Indeed this Apollos was said to have even visited Paul (the apostle who did not suffer from snakebites) and he was called an Alexandrian Jew. It is possible that Apollonius brought back a new gospel of Chrishna from the Kashmir interlude with the serpent sages and it was this, which gave birth to the Christ that was in reality based upon serpent worship. Now we know why Christ sloughed off his shroud in the tomb, just as the snake sloughs its skin and is resurrected. Now we know why the early Christians were known as Ophites, it simply means serpent worshippers. Now we know that the African practice of sacrificing snakes upon trees
eventually found its coils embroiled in one of the largest religions to ever appear in the world and gave us the image of the son of God. Now we know why Vatican not only means hill, it means hill of snakes.

1 In De Vita Apollonii (The Life of Apollonius) Philostratos tells us of the superstitious practices carried out by those of Arabia and India with some remarkable tales about “eating the heart and liver of serpents, for the purpose of acquiring knowledge of the thoughts and languages of animals.” Philostratos wrote extensively on Apollonius of Tyana, the great sage who is seen by many as being the true Christ.
2 Taxila was the capital of ancient Punjab (Hindus). In the Sanskrit language it was Takshacila or simply “Prince of the serpent tribe.” Taxila was a famous place, having been mentioned in several languages and connected with the infamous Silk Road between the Far West (Babylonia) and the Far East (China). Here lies the oldest known Hindu shrine in the Pillared Hall, on the site of the western end, said to have had a ceremonial function. The king of Taxila was called Taxiles and in 329 BC he invited Alexander the Great to support him against aggressors. In 184 BC the Greeks invaded and placed Demetrius on the throne. The town was rebuilt and strangely it was called Sirkap (severed head). It was a multi-ethnic area now with Greeks, Bactrians, western Iranians and Hindus all living together. There was a great mix of Hinduism, serpent worship, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism and Greek religious beliefs all mixing together-a place very much like Alexandria.
Apollonius of Tyana went to Taxila as we find in the Life of Apollonius of Tyana by Philostratos. “I have already described the way in which the city is walled, but they say that it was divided up into narrow streets in the same irregular manner as in Athens, and that the houses were built in such a way that if you look at them from outside they had only one storey, while if you went unto one of them, you at once found subterranean chambers extending as far below the level of the earth as did the chambers above.” (Section 2.2). It was the King of Taxila (Phroates) who wrote a letter of recommendation for Apollonius to Iarchus in-order to have him learn the wisdom of the Nagas of Kashmir.

Do you remember the movie Star Trek: Generations starring William Shatner and Patrick Stewart? Early on in the movie Dr. Tolian Soran, played by Malcolm McDowell, encounters and is enveloped by the “Nexus”, an energy ribbon traveling through space, during which time he experiences complete “rapture”. His ecstasy is short-lived, however, as circumstances pull him abruptly back to reality, and he subsequently commits the rest of his life to relocating and re-entering the “Nexus” so that he may live forevermore within its seductive grasp. One small problem. To accomplish this, Dr. Soran must cause the destruction of an entire planet inhabited by billions of souls. If you saw the movie, you know, of course, that ultimately his evil plans are thwarted, and the planet is saved.
That was fiction. What’s going on in our world, however, is not, and I’ve mentioned this movie because I’m truly concerned about the existence on our planet, in our country, and in our heartland of a growing collection of fanatics who in their hearts believe, much like Dr. Soran, that they’re entitled to manufacture a path for themselves into the waiting arms of their vision of Heaven, and seem to have no qualms about designating and rejoicing in the end of the world as their gateway to this Nirvana.
My Oh My. Where do people like this come from? Human life is not sacred to them. The world is not precious to them. The physical universe holds no meaning for them. All that really matters is the attainment of “rapture”, and even then only for the faithful few. To hell with all the rest. And the sooner this happens the better. Oh, and did I mention the part about complicity in murder? Because, quite frankly, I see very little difference between those who pull the trigger and those who stand by while offering encouragement to the ones pulling the trigger, so that they can then proceed to step over the corpse once the trigger’s been pulled.
Until recently, it never occurred to me that humankind would be struggling to save the planet from, among other things, a group of faith-obsessed fundamentalist Christians who’re actually endeavoring to hasten its demise. As mind-boggling as this sounds, though, it wouldn’t really be anything to worry about except for the fact that these lunatics have allied themselves with what might easily be thought of as the most high-strung, idealogically racist nation on Earth. I’m referring, of course, to the Zionist state of Israel, and Israel, as we all know, is also aligned with Washington’s high-strung, idealogically racist Neoconservatives, who likewise share a common vision with the fundamentalist Christians.
And round and round it goes. Where one group stops and another one starts nobody knows. A three-headed hydra gyrating its way through some macabre dance of death, commanding the attentions and loyalties of millions, possessing vast amounts of nuclear armaments, and hell-bent on redefining the priorities which govern our community of nations.
Is it just me, or is this beginning to sound kind of dangerous? I mean, what exactly are we dealing with here, and where will it eventually lead to? Does anyone even know?
The ultimate goal of the Israelis appears to be that of converting the Middle East into one all-encompassing Zionist-dominated region, while the Neocons believe the entire planet would be better off if it were simply “regime-changed” into one all-encompassing Anglo-dominated region; and if neither of these two propositions works out, that’s okay, ’cause the Evangalists are praying that none of us survive anyway, as they build a Stairway to Heaven for themselves upon the bones of the countless dead created by the other two.
Pretty gruesome scenario, if you ask me. And yes, maybe I’m exaggerating somewhat, but then again, who’d have thought six years ago that we’d be where we are today, involved in two unending pre-emptive wars and threatening to initiate a third?
In any event, it’s only through our acquiescence that the aspirations of such people can ever truly be realized. It’s our fear and our ignorance, after all, that they depend on more than anything to catapult them to their goals. And no matter which of these three villians you choose to examine, you’ll find the method of operation used is pretty much always the same – generate enough fear, and violence or the acceptance of it will inevitably follow.
The Israelis, for example, have spent decades preying upon the fears of their Arab neighbors, goading and provoking them into violent responses. After all, without the occasional Palestinian bomb or rocket being set off, Israel would have no justification for rolling into the Occupied Territories with their tanks and armies, flattening whole communities, bulldozing orchards, robbing innocent people of their livelihood. Of course, they do this anyway on a regular basis, but without some level of resistance, they’re naturally obliged to keep a lid on their criminality. (And I ask you, is that any way of ethnically cleansing the people whose land you’re trying to grab?)
As for the Neocons, the power to pursue their violent strategies across our beleaguered globe has been lavished upon them by an American public steeped in fear (not to mention ignorance). Look how easily we allowed ourselves to be swayed by fear when 9/11 occurred, how skillfully this fear was manipulated and exploited, and how transfixed we were in responding to it through violent means.
And then there’s the fundamentalist Christians, conjuring up the fear of demons and hobgoblins, while screaming violence at the top of their lungs in the most unchristianlike manner imaginable. Who could have imagined that the road to eternal bliss would be smeared with so much blood?
Put it all together and you’ve got a very freakish alliance of nearly comical proportions, but of not-so-comical implications – a fear factory, if you will, managed and operated by a small coterie of snake-oil salesmen, propagandizing their barbaric plunder by assuring the workforce that it’s all being done in the name of what’s right and good. Anxiety and hysteria are their production units, manufactured through an ingenious collage of press briefings, television interviews, and personal appearances, while infectious soundbites and catch phrases are regurgitated ad nauseum, reminding us of the unending need to guard ourselves against the beasts and ogres who threaten our existence.
I’m sorry folks, but the only ogres I see are the ones in the factory board room, spouting lies to justify their own programs of butchery and slaughter.
One might say that there truly is an Axis of Evil in our world, but it doesn’t involve Iraq or Iran or North Korea. What it does involve is a group of misguided, miscreant men and women, who’ve lost all touch with whatever goodness might have at some point in their lives motivated or inspired them, and whose outlook on reality has become so distended over time as to leave the rest of us in complete awe and disbelief.
Why, then, are we allowing the reigns of our planet’s destiny to be controlled by such people? Isn’t it time to hand these shallow and pretentious con-artists their hats and show them the door? Don’t we owe it to ourselves at such a critical time in this world’s history to put into practice those values which are so necessary to its survival?
I believe we do. And if our efforts are successful, then we too will have saved an entire planet inhabited by billions of souls from the sour intentions of small-minded and insignificant beings, a planet which can then breathe a collective sigh of relief and return to the business of moving our civilization towards a better future.

Usually in familiar situations, at our home or close by in familiar neighborhoods doing our everyday ’stuff’, we tend to focus on other things – work, school, boyfriend/girlfriend,- and not on our surroundings. This is perfectly normal – when we’re comfortable with our surroundings we tend to relax and let our guard down. If you were in the middle of downtown Damascus, Syria you would probably be on heightened alert and taking in everything around you. Or worse, Camden NJ!
If you don’t pay attention to your surroundings you could easily be a victim of crime. Criminals are opportunists – if you present them with the opportunity they will act. It seems like such an obvious solution to avoiding crime and not becoming a victim.
Some interesting information from the Bureau of Justice Crime Characteristics:
In 2008
Time of occurrence
54% of incidents of violent crime occurred during the day between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
More than half (56%) of rape/sexual assaults occurred at night from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Almost half (46%) of household burglaries occurring during the daytime hours.
Place of occurrence
Almost 30% of violent crimes occurred in or near the victim’s home.
For violent crime, about half occurred within a mile from home and 76% within five miles. Only 4% of victims of violent crime reported that the crime took place more than fifty miles from their home.
About 18% of purse snatching/pocket pickings occurred inside a restaurant, bar or nightclub, 13% occurred in other commercial buildings and 10% occurred in parking lots or garages.
Of victims of violent crime, 21% were involved in some form of leisure activity away from home at the time of their victimization, 28% were at home, and another 19% were at work or traveling to or from work when the crime occurred.
Sometimes it takes a little more than staying alert to avert crime. Like having a weapon. Not necessarily a lethal weapon, just a deterrent to give yourself time to get away to safety. In this country, pepper spray or mace is an excellent, nonlethal tool to buy time. Probably best of all is pepper spray that you can spray accurately from 25 feet away. This way you can stop your attacker before he even gets close. If he’s already too close, then being constantly prepared is the solution with an attractive ring which is also pepper spray! Of course a big stick might work, too, but is a little obvious.
Don’t give them an opportunity. Pay attention to your surroundings wherever you are. And be prepared.

In March, 1955, Kelly Johnson, the designer of U2 Spyplane, had been assigned from CIA to design U2 Spyplane. Besides, he had been assigned to work in looking for testing place for this U2.
Kelly had sent staff, Tony LeVier, the pilot to test U2 with Dorsey Kammerer to explore the area in the middle of desert at the South of California, Nevada, and Arizona. But such restricted area was only equipped with warning sign without any fence as such restricted area extends widely. The security guards were arranged to safe the place including the anonymous security guards with modern weapons. This patrol anonymous area is called Cammo Dudes with supporting helicopter as Silkorsky MH-60G Pave Hawk
Various secret projects use Area 51 as experimenting area are gradually ended such as the testing of Tacit Blue was complete in 1985, the testing of Advances Cruise Missile or ACM.

A few hours ago, Colonel Ely Ould Mohamed Vall, the National Director of Security of Mauritania, launched himself into power and shut his boss, President Maaoya Taya, out of Nouakchott.
This action, brought the 21-year rule of Taya to a dramatic and calculated end, in this 3 million peopled desert of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
It must however be early, quickly and clearly pointed out before the euphoria subsides, that Colonel Vall and his 16-member Military Junta for ‘Justice and Democracy’, have arrived a little too late, on the stage of political history.
Much as the people of Mauritania may have been wearied by the lack-lustre regime of Taya, as it was begining to show through an unprecedentedly free and fair elections of 2003, the unconstitutional overthrow of this elected government is nothing but a hijack of due democratic process by an ambitious self-appointed messiahnic group of the specialized paramilitary gendarmerie, known as Presidential Guards, headed by Vall.
Though, Taya’s Democratic Social Republican Party (PRDS) still holds sway with a 79% majority in the legislature, the begining of real opposition by about 15 political parties that contested the last elections with growing sympaties amongst the populace, has dawned on Mauritania. There is no way Taya and his party would have won a fourth straight victory at the next elections using the yardstick of the last polls of 2003.
It this growing popular democracy that the ambitious elements in the Mauritanian Army attempts to abort. It is very probable that colonel Vall and his junta would try to seek popular base of support by anti-western sentiments, but this political line, if towed, would spell untold disaster for the new regime. Ask Sadam, who tried it in 1991 and was humiliated for it.
The questions which this self-styled ‘Justice and Democracy’ Messiahs of the 3 million poverty-sapped people of Muritania could not or ever answer in the days to come are: What happens to the legislative elections due next year, 2006? What happens to the 20 seats- 21%of the National Assembly and the Senate, controlled by the opposition parties? Is the 2-year time-table of restoration of ‘true elections’ by the junta not a ploy to gain a breathing space and legitimise its own rule? After 18 years in the saddle as National security Director, Is Colonel Vall just realising now that Taya is ‘dictatorial and repressive’?
Could it be that the real lure for the junta to take over power is the recently discovered one billion barrels deposit of crude oil? Can we be assured that junta greed for self-enrichment is not traceable to the 30 billion cubit feet of natural gas just discovered? Wont this make the junta to prolong and postpone the promised ‘true elctions’ like in the case of its Nigerian counterpart which plauged and devoured national and peoples resouces for 30 years before being forced to abdicate power? Can Colonel Vall boldly tell the world that this coup was not the climax of his carefully planned ambition of 6 years ago that got a fillip when he travelled to all the 12 regions(Wilaya) of Mauritania in 1999, as the commander of the militarized police force, to inspect and reinforce (prepare) them for this day?
One thing though is certain, our people in Africa are tired of the musical chairs of dictators. We yearn for true development and progress. We are not ready for another experimental adventure in failure in the hands of some opportunistic leaders.
