Making money offline and especially online is a question that haunts most people for their entire lives and probably remains an unanswered hypothesis in about 95% of all cases. That is also why roughly 95% of the worlds wealth belongs to 5% of the worlds population.
It has been said that if you divide all the wealth in the world equally among all the inhabitants of the earth, the wealth would find its way back to where it originally was in the first place within 1 to 5 years.
This may seem impossible and unfair since you have always figured that if only you could get a head-start in life you would make a total success out of it – You know, as soon as your ship comes in!
Although people with a background of wealth have a much higher chance of achieving their own financial success in life, the financial backing that is provided early on in life plays only a very small part in the road to early retirement.
So why does money seem to find its way to certain people while others are left to suffer their entire lives to get it. What is the secret to success
The secret lies not in money as a tool but only as an end goal. Put differently the closely guarded secret to obtaining unimaginable wealth lies in the system used to create wealth rather than in wealth in the first place.
The richest people in the world don’t spend every weekday from 8 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon working at an hourly rate. This should be common sense since there are only so many hours in a day and you are only one person, but then again common sense is not always so common. They have built systems that make them money while they are enjoying life on their yacht, playing golf with their friends at $1000 per hole (being cheap since it is only a friendly game!), or while they are off traveling the world with their loved ones and living life to its fullest. Heck, their systems are so good that they even make money while they are sleeping.
Making money online is a trend that has become extremely popular since it is “easy”, yet it is surprising that a very small amount of people actually succeed with their online adventures to discovering how to get rich. This is because most people only hear half a truth, dive in to get money quickly and fail miserably.
There is a popular saying that says something about not reinventing the wheel. I’m sure if you try really hard to remember you will realize you have heard it a lot, but it would seem you have never quite grasped its significance until right now by reading this article. In plain language the old adage means that you do not have to spend years creating your own systems, when you can use other peoples systems that have been developed over generations. This is absolutely amazing news because it means you can use an idea that someone else has created, you might even improve it a bit, and that one idea that was not even yours can make you millions!
The same holds true for making money online. You take other peoples ideas that have been developed and perfected, implement it and let the dollars dollars roll in.
There are a lot of avenues that can generate you a ton a money on the internet, including but certainly not limited to:
1) Blogging
2) Selling other people products on websites that don’t have to cost you anything (known more commonly as affiliate marketing)
3) Using major search engines to create mountains of cash (for example using google adsense or adwords).
4) High Yield Internet Programs (HYIP’s)
5) Taking Online Surveys and Participating in Online Focus Groups
6) Making money with the internet giants like google adsense and google adwords
And many more!
Most of the information you need to get started is freely available on the internet, givin by people who are experts and have already paved the way for others to follow using their systems. All you need to do to get started is the willingness to make lots of money online and something to buy with all the money you earn.
So what are you waiting for, get at it right now!

If you’ve been marketing on line for any length of time you’ve probably heard about using affiliate programs to promote yourself, your business and to develop multiple streams of income to increase your earnings potential.
There is no shortage of affiliate programs to participate in. You don’t have to look very hard or very far to find an internet company that allows members to promote their products and earn a commission when a purchase is made via the member’s affiliate link.
Just a few examples of internet businesses that offer affiliate programs are Magnetic Sponsoring, Site Build It and iContact. Each of these companies allows you the opportunity to promote their specific products or services and earn affiliate commissions on sales made through your link. Some companies require you to be a paying participant in their products before you can become an affiliate but not all of them.
There is another resource for joining affiliate programs. Commission Junction allows you to search for advertisers that offer products and services that are compatible with your business and interests. Once you find an advertiser that you want to partner with, you fill out a simple application and submit it to them on line for approval. There is a short wait to see if you’ve been approved, usually 24 hours or less. Once you are approved you are given access to their links and banners to put on your web site or in your email newsletters. Different advertisers have different terms and may restrict the use of their links for some uses such as Google Ads. Just make sure you read the terms and conditions for each advertiser before you start promoting their programs.
Several nice features of using a service like Commission Junction are the ability to search for relevant advertisers, historical data on each company’s campaign, and an overview of the commission plan. Examples of advertisers that participate in Commission Junction are Mexicana, iContact and Travel Guard Insurance.
No matter which programs you choose to participate in, do some research and make sure they are legitimate advertisers that add value to you and your primary business. You don’t want to develop a reputation for exposing your contacts to advertising scams! Promoting reputable products and services creates a win-win situation for you and your customers. They receive something of value and you receive a commission for offering it to them. You also establish yourself as a credible advertiser and build a long term relationship with your contacts.
Cheers to your success!

If you are new to list building, I want to do my absolute best to make sure you position yourself as an enlightened online marketer and list builder from the beginning.
As well, if you have tried list building and are finding the methods you are using just aren’t working, I owe it to you to take this a step further in helping you to fully reconcile yourself with the need for change in your Modis-Operandi.
If you haven’t done the work necessary to accomplish putting your own “Multi- Channel Web Activity System” together for your prospects you will continue to frustrated with your lack of success. It may seem like putting up a web site, a blog, and maintaining some social sites is too much work. (It really isn’t and I will get into how you can do it without the kind of effort you may be imagining it will take now.)
Let’s try to look at this from your new prospect/site-visitor’s perspective by assuming you are the prospect. I am assuming here that you consider yourself Internet Savvy. By that I mean you have been, “Down The Garden Path”, long enough to know there are people out there on the Internet that are unknowingly or purposely trying to dupe you into giving up something very precious to you, your real contact information, or YOUR MONEY in exchange for useless crap wrapped in good sounding sales copy with bonuses that are, “Valued(?)”, at 5 times the actual product/freebie itself.
Admit It, You’re Gun Shy Too – You have been to Squeeze Page after Squeeze Page, looking for a solution to a particular problem you have and have not found one that either doesn’t sound too good to be true or in some way doesn’t meet your criteria you have established for what you consider worth looking into.
You find something that looks promising and . . . .
You read the content and are intrigued. But hey, you don’t even know this “No Options Ned” person; recognize their name or anything about them or their product. You’ve never heard of them in the circles you travel when frequenting places on line where people of like mind, (A niche), meet and discuss niche subjects.
Roaming around in the back of your mind are thoughts of the small flood of email you are still getting every day from signing up for, “Just Gotta Have It”, solutions to one of your problems or needs and you fail to opt out because some of what you receive from each and every one of the news letters, email training series, step by step how to’s etc. occasionally have some noteworthy content in them.
But ALL of them have offers of some kind wanting you to spend your hard earned MONEY! And then there are all the latest greatest new information products or software products that most of the people you are receiving opt-in email from, all appear to be affiliate marketers for. (Gee, think there might be a little collusion going on here?)
Now I’m not saying there aren’t any good offers out there. But when every single email you receive has a link to something that will cost you $47 or more, (Many times much more), and it’s the same old format with the “It’s Your Lucky Day” type pitch, link to the deal, more pitch, same link, even more pitch and same link again, you have to be getting pretty callused, or hardened to opening most of the emails from subscriptions you opted to receive.
Eventually you stop clicking on the links in the emails regardless of what they promise. Partially because you have heard the same promises before, purchased what the product promises to provide as a solution, just to find out it’s more generalized crap you can find yourself in about 10 minutes on line.
You’re starting to feel pretty guarded about giving out your primary e-mail address period. You stop opening the emails from the one’s that really hammer you with nothing but offers. You’re feeling pretty gun shy after having put yourself in the sites of these intimidating, overkill marketers.
But then you again find there is a problem you need a solution for and you’re on the hunt online. You’ve finally found what you at first think may provide you with a solution to your problem.
This marketer is only giving you one chance, (Supposedly), and one option to gain access to the information you think might be a solution to your problem. They want your private contact information. The red flags go up. See if you think this might be your reaction and resulting action:
Well I really don’t know this guy. I’ll see if I can find some reviews of his product and ask around in some of the forums and see if anybody knows him or his goods. CLICK – your back to the search engine. (Bounce Rate Ouchee.)

Hush! Google is on march. Would you be scared? Nope, did you say?
The extraordinary interest that Google generates in what it is up to is stupendous, and Gdrive was no exception. Nobody knows for sure it would be Gdrive, but the name persisted. And very soon, a pattern seems to have emerged. According to pundits, Google shortly plans to come out with ‘virtual hard disc’. Now what’s that?
The webcast
It all started on an innocuous morning (March 2), but special for those who wanted to attend the planned webcast of ‘Google Analyst Day [http://investor.google.com/webcast.html]‘. As is normally the case with Google these days, all eyes were firmly glued to the presentation. In attendance was one Greg Linden of Seattle, who quickly pieced together apparently disparate information that Google provided (slides 19, 20 & 31 according to Linden) on that day, and this is what he has to say [http://glinden.blogspot.com/2006/03/in-world-with-infinite-storage.html]:
Quote?
Slide 31 says that Google’s philosophy to new product development is “no constraints” and that they initially ignore “CPU power, storage, bandwidth, and monetization.”
Slide 20 says (in the notes) that Google plans to “get all the worlds information, not just some.”
And slide 19 (in the notes) talks about how their work is inspired by the idea of “a world with infinite storage, bandwidth, and CPU power.” They say that “the experience should really be instantaneous”. They say that they should be able to “house all user files, including: emails, web history, pictures, bookmarks, etc and make it accessible from anywhere (any device, any platform, etc)” which leads to a world where “the online copy of your data will become your Golden Copy and your local-machine copy serves more like a cache”. And, they say that they want “transparent personalization” that uses user “data to transparently optimize the user’s experience … implicitly.”
–Unquote
Unlimited storage
It was a fair guess that Google might be planning to offer virtual hard disc that would have unlimited storage capacity, as well as CPU capacity. Linden’s remarks would perhaps have gone largely unnoticed for the simple reason that there are just too many Google-related analyses out there. What happened was just the opposite. Google’s forthwith withdrawal of the PPT file lent credence to Linden’s claim (and adding fuel to speculative fire too).
In a way, virtual storage is a fairly old concept. Box.net, Xdrive and a host of others offer good value for money, and are apparently quite successful. The basic idea is you never have to loose sleep over possible loss of your data and files. No matter if you travel frequently, and to odd places. Your files are intact, properly taken care of, and produced in a jiffy wherever whenever you need them.
Google plans
But Google’s plan does add a new dimension. What immediately comes to mind is Google’s offer wouldn’t simply be just another piece. Since Google is known to position its products after supposedly long sequence of research and diligence, it may well be that Gdrive, if so named, will be a super-offer. As and when that comes into being, it may knock out the bottom of many competitors. That may be the reason why Google removed the PPT file posthaste, as if to guard a grand secret from prying eyes. Remember, not long back, Google and Dell agreed to test [http://www.crn.com/sections/breakingnews/breakingnews.jhtml?articleId=179101543] a pre-installed package of Google software on Dell computers. Isn’t that more than a precursor of larger things to come? Your guess is as good as mine.
Writely acquired
Compared to conjectures above, this is a more solid indication of Google’s future plans. Google has very recently acquired [http://writely.blogspot.com/2006/03/google-yep-google.html] (March 9) Writely’s ‘The Web Word Processor’. An Upstartle product, Writely easily allows sharing, storing, editing, blogging (and what not!) your documents in real time.
Taking a holistic view of the foregoing, it seems certain that Google is indeed planning to launch a virtual product that would potentially be a rival of Microsoft’s soon-to-be-launched Office Live [http://officelive.microsoft.com/] (now in beta). But, according to many web-watchers, Google’s product may be much more bigger in scope than Office Live.
Figuring out how the future of web will unfold is a dicey business. As I have told in a previous column, Google (and other search engines as well) has the advantage of collating huge data on users’ search behavior over a long period. It is to Google’s credit that thus far it has been able to remain ahead in the race to capitalize on them.

Do you have passwords, love letters, naughty pictures or sensitive business information stored on your computer’s hard drive? If you have a continuous Internet connection such as cable, xDSL, ISDN or other, you should know that it’s almost embarrassingly easy for a hacker to break into a networked computer.
Once in, they can use your private information any way they see fit. As well as getting your personal documents, the hacker can damage your system files or install software on your disk that allows your computer to be used in Denial of Service attacks and other destructive activities.
Similarly, the hacker can activate your interior microphone or interior video recorder without your knowledge. This lets them record and distribute sound and video files of the conversations and activities taking place in your work area.
How Hackers Do It
Every Internet-connected computer has a unique set of identifying numbers called an IP address. Using special software applications, hackers send out probes over the Internet looking for live IP addresses. If they locate your computer, they look for “holes” or vulnerabilities that leave your system insecure.
For example, a computer is likely to have multiple applications (email, web browser, etc.) running on the same IP address. Each application is assigned a number called a “port” that uniquely identifies that service on a computer. Ports that allow an application to send or receive information from the Net must be “open”. In some unprotected systems, even ports that are not in use have been left open — practically inviting attack! When hackers discover an unprotected, open port, they can use that opening to gain access to your system.
An unprotected broadband connection is easiest to hack because both the connection and the IP address remain constant. If a hacker or a “script kiddie” finds your computer once, they can readily find it again. (Script kiddie is a derogatory name used by professional hackers to describe simple scripts used by young and inexperienced hackers).
The threat is less severe for persons connecting to the Internet via dial-up modems. Dial-ups usually connect with a different IP address each log-on. Therefore, if hackers have found a system once, the changing IP address will make it difficult (not impossible) to find it again.
However, if a trojan horse or back door program has been installed on a system, the trojan horse could “phone home” with the IP address each time an Internet connection is made.
Back door programs allow remote users to control a system without the owner’s knowledge. They are installed on computers by hackers, or sometimes come secretly bundled with software applications that the user installs. Well-known back door programs for Windows computers include BackOriface, NetBus and SubSeven.
Firewalls: Your First Level of Security
Firewalls are software applications or hardware devises that you install on your system. They are designed to prevent unauthorized access to or from a private network that is connected to the Internet. When a firewall is installed, all incoming or outgoing messages pass through the firewall. Those that do not meet the specified security criteria are blocked.
Most home firewalls are software applications.
How Firewalls Work
There are various types of firewalls, and they work through different processes. However, the following is true for most of the home or personal firewall software that is used today.
Information over the Internet is sent in “packets” of data. These packets travel from a source machine to a destination machine — which could be two feet away or two continents away. Each packet of data contains the IP address and port number of the originating machine.
The firewall software inspects every packet of data that arrives at the computer — BEFORE that data is allowed entry into the system and before it connects with an “open” port. The beauty of a firewall lies in its ability to be selective about what it accepts and what it blocks.
The firewall has the ability to refuse any suspect data. If the incoming data is ignored and not allowed in, that port will effectively disappear on the Internet and hackers cannot find it or connect through it. In other words, instead of receiving a signal that a port is open, the hackers receive nothing back and have no way of connecting.
Several firewall applications are available to the small business operator or the home computer user. Before changing firewalls or installing one for the first time, it’s wise to check out the comparative testing that has been done on these applications.
Persons already running a firewall could test it’s effectiveness by trying the Shields and Ports test available at Gibson’s Research Corporation (GRC) web site, or by downloading and running the LeakTest software available on site at http://www.grc.com.
GRC’s Steve Gibson has some surprising test results posted in conjunction with LeakTest’s personal firewall scoreboard at
http://grc.com/lt/scoreboard.htm.
The best-rated one is free. Not only did Zone Lab’s Zone Alarm (http://www.zonelabs.com) score best in Gibson’s testing, but the firewall has been recognized for excellence by CNET, PC World, PC Magazine and Home Office Computing.
Other well-known firewalls include McAfee firewall at www.mcafee.com, Sygate Personal FW at www.sygate.com, Symantec/Norton at www.symantec.com and Tiny Personal FW at www.tinysoftware.com
Now, the bad news.
A firewall protects you from open ports, but it does not protect you from data coming and going through ports that you allow. Malicious code can invade your system from email attachments or by visiting a hostile web site. And remember — even well trusted web sites can suddenly be hostile if hackers have added malicious code without the site administrator’s knowledge.
Test your security against malicious code at Finjan Software’s web site. Many of you will be dismayed to find that your supposedly secure system is vulnerable.
http://www.finjan.com
Malicious code blocking software such as Finjan’s Surf n’ Guard analyzes incoming data and decides whether the code could be harmful. ZDNet recommends that code-blocking software be used in addition to firewall and your antivirus software.
